Bill to get CPS records for Native American tribal children signed into law

Native American tribes across Michigan will soon have access to certain state child protection records for children in tribes. Legislation introduced by state Sen. Judy Emmons (R-Sheridan) stems from conversations between Emmons, tribal leaders, Gov. Rick Snyder and legislative leaders at the annual State-Tribal Summit last year.
