A day of giving at the Prairie Band Casino

The Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation donated more than $72,000 to area charities Thursday. The tribe presented the grants today during its quarterly charitable donation award ceremony. Since 1999, they have selected organizations that show an active participation in the community and share the tribe's values. Charitable donations committee member Ruth Harjo said it's about more than just giving out money.
