GamblingCompliance Awarded European Casino Association (ECA) Membership

GamblingCompliance, the leading provider of essential business intelligence to the global gambling industry, is delighted to announce it has been accepted as an associate member of the European Casino Association (ECA), at its recent Winter General Assembly in London.

The ECA approval acknowledges GamblingCompliance as a key information resource for the casino industry and associate membership will see GamblingCompliance become part of the ECA information network, providing a focal point on casino matters for casino operators as well as for EU and national policymakers and stakeholders.

The ECA represents the interests of more than 800 casinos in 22 countries and seeks to inform and contribute constructively to EU decision-making on all matters affecting the casino sector.

Responding to the membership vote, GamblingCompliance’s CEO Greg Kilminster said: “Land-based casino operators continue to face unique challenges including those of player protection, money laundering control, data protection and taxation concerns, as well as competition from online gambling and rival entertainment offers.

“GamblingCompliance aims to help the ECA and its members by providing timely information on regulation, taxation, compliance, and market developments around the world, and we are very proud to have been approved as an associate member of the ECA.”

ECA chairman Ron Goudsmit said: “One of the most recent initiatives of the ECA membership has been to design a new membership status, associate membership, in order to extend its network to include suppliers and stakeholders of the European casino industry. The ECA would like to take this opportunity to warmly welcome GamblingCompliance as one of its newest associate members and looks forward to the benefits this working relationship may bring to the future of the industry.”

In addition to land-based casinos, GamblingCompliance’s customers include global online and terrestrial operators, lawyers, regulators, financial services firms, lotteries, and technology and payment providers.
