Idaho voters turn down historical horse racing terminals

Idahoans voted down Proposition 1 Tuesday, a ballot measure that would have reauthorized the use of historical horse racing terminals in a bid to save Idaho’s faltering horse-racing industry. Even a surge of support from late vote counts in Canyon County — where voters approved it by a margin of 1,732 votes — wasn’t enough to save the measure.
