Judge rules against Derry in ballot issue
Judge Brian McCarville ordered the county Registrar of Voters to change Derry’s ballot designation from “Supervisor/Businessman” to “County Supervisor,” finding that the former was his principal occupation. A supporter of San Manuel tribal Chairman James Ramos, who is running against Derry for 3rd District supervisor, was named as the plaintiff with the Ramos campaign funding the challenge.
