Legends Casino has awarded $750,126 to area nonprofit organizations and surrounding government agencies. Under a gaming agreement with the state, the casino -- owned and operated by the Yakama Nation -- gives a portion of its profits each year to local governments as compensation for any effects the operation may have on police and fire.
