A pageantry of color, drums, crafts and food unfolded at the 20th Monacan Indian Nation Powwow on Saturday near Elon. By 10:20 a.m., organizers already had gathered three pages of dancers who signed up to participate by the time the grand procession stepped off at noon, and hundreds sat around the dance circle listening to storytelling beforehand.
