Nearly 100 workers laid off from Strip property

A Strip casino plans to permanently lay off nearly 100 employees, according to a notice sent to state officials. Through a letter dated Aug. 10, Casino Royale executives alerted the Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation that it planned to let go of 98 employees due to hardships brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.
