OP/ED: State relies on vice

The Connecticut legislature seems determined to destroy civil society in the state, but by increments rather than in one fell swoop. Wednesday, lawmakers sent Gov. Dannel P. Malloy a bill allowing the Mashantucket Pequot and Mohegan tribes to establish a gambling house in East Windsor. For a glimpse of the long-term implications of this measure, check out the casino-gambling scenes in the film “Back to the Future Part II.”
