Rep. Bud Williams calls for casino revenues to be spent evenly among wards in Springfield, Everett

State Rep. Bud Williams has filed a bill that would require tax and related revenues received by cities from casinos to be spent evenly among the wards in those cities. Williams, a Springfield Democrat now in his second, two-year term, said the entire city supported the MGM Springfield casino project and “accordingly, the entire city should reap the benefits of equal funding with a concentration on public safety.”
