Spending On Lobbyist Makes Mashpee Taxpayer Uneasy

President Donald J. Trump’s administration has posed problems for the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe. Under his former appointee Ryan Zinke, the US Department of the Interior issued a key ruling against the tribe that threw its reservation in Mashpee and Taunton into jeopardy. Mr. Zinke has since resigned under pressure from allegations of misuse of government funds, but the tribe is still dealing with the repercussions of the decision.
