Sports gambling inches closer to Wisconsin, but its legalization in the state is uncertain

This city along the Mississippi River has long been a draw for Wisconsinites. Lead miners from what is now Grant County crossed the river in the 1800s and those seeking manufacturing jobs at John Deere came here after World War II. More recently, the draw has been tourism.
