While a New York Times article published in March painted a chilling picture of the current state of the horse-racing industry — quoting, among others, a veterinarian at Finger Lakes Casino and Racetrack in Farmington in its dour look at the industry — Finger Lakes actually looks statistically better than most racetracks.
