Two Native American Women with over Fifty Years’ Industry Experience Launch Trilogy Group to Focus on Advancing Tribal Business Opportunities
Valerie Spicer, announced her recent departure as Executive Director of the Arizona Indian Gaming Association (AIGA) to join forces with Sheila Morago, Executive Director Oklahoma Indian Gaming Association (OIGA) and launch Trilogy Group Partners, LLC. The firm will promote economic development, and business diversification opportunities in Indian country. Both women are eager to further serve Tribal governments as Tribes seek to grow their economic footprint beyond Tribal Gaming.
"This is a time when Tribes need to be as best positioned as they can with economic diversification, outreach and messaging, all while growing their development opportunities,” said Ak-Chin Indian Community Councilwoman Delia Carlyle. “I believe the services that Trilogy Group will provide on behalf of Tribes is going to be of the highest quality, and very effective. I have worked with both Valerie and Sheila for years and can say without hesitation they have always worked with the Tribes’ best interest at heart."
“After over six years as Executive Director, it seemed a perfect time to follow my passion and work with Tribes seeking to advance their diversification profile,” Valerie Spicer said. “These are interesting times and I am a true believer that diversifying your portfolio and promoting your impact are essential steps for a sustainable future.”
As stewards of Tribal Gaming advancement and growth, the Trilogy team has been engaged since the onset of Tribal gaming - documenting its growth, crafting strategic policy and promoting the positive benefits to Tribal communities, surrounding communities, and the many that gain from its success.
“Though I will continue serving as Executive Director of the Oklahoma Indian Gaming Association, this partnership is a great opportunity to do additional work for Tribes around the country,” said Sheila Morago.
With over 50 years of combined experience in business, government and gaming, coupled with a national network of resources, the founding partners will lead Trilogy Group to work closely with Tribes across the country. Their efforts will focus on advising Tribal Governments as they continue to diversify their economies, improve educational and awareness efforts around economic successes, and increase engagement and partnerships with surrounding communities. Trilogy Group will also work with businesses seeking to advance their exposure and footprint in Indian country.
Both Sheila Morago, and Valerie Spicer will also continue their role as thought-leaders within the global gaming industry and can be found speaking at upcoming conferences and industry panels throughout 2017.
