Here's what I'm currently listening to:

Warren Zanes: Memory Girls. I think this might be 2003's most underrated album of the year. Not a bad song in the lot. Welcome back, Warren. (07/01/03)

Fountains of Wayne: Welcome Interstate Managers AKA "The masters of the three minute pop song" Yeah, I think that about sums it up. (07/01/03)

EELS: Shootenanny The EELS make interesting pop music and make pop music interesting. Does that make any sense? It does to me. I own 3 or 4 of their previous releases and this is definitely one of their best. (07/01/03)

Yo La Tengo: Summer Sun  Ethereal lead vocals bathed in a pool of reverb backed by percussive guitar and trance-like drumming. The perfect CD for working late at night (07/01/03)

Guided By Voices: Universal Truths and Cycles  Several people down at my local record shop think Robert Pollard (singer/songwriter) is a genius and you know what? I think I agree. I've had this CD for two months and I listen to it everyday. GBV's music is a mixture of power pop, punk, garage rock, and The Who (circa early 70's) (07/01/03)
