Crandon, WI:
The Forest County Potawatomi Community has donated $100,000 to the
Salvation Army to support their humanitarian efforts in New York City and
Washington, D.C.
After hearing of the disasters in New York and
Washington, Tribal Chairman Harold “Gus” Frank and other tribal
members looked into ways the tribe could help.
They decided that donating to the Salvation Army would be most
beneficial.
On Tuesday, The Forest County Potawatomi Community
presented a check to Major Ron Lemirand in Crandon.
“We
admire all of the people who are giving of themselves in this rescue and
relief effort. We salute the
firefighters, police and rescue personnel for their courage and their
sacrifice. Thank goodness we
have organizations such as the Salvation Army to help those in need,”
Chairman Frank said. |
