Fender Clarence White Custom Telecaster.jpg (30196 bytes)Fender "Clarence White" Custom Telecaster: This Fender Custom Shop creation is one of the most distinctive and unique Telecasters of all time - truly a rare and hard-to-find instrument. It is a Tele of many talents, capable of both hard-driving blues and rock riffs, as well as drippingly sweet country tones. It even emulates pedal steel sounds. It is equipped with a Texas Tele bridge pickup, and a '54 Strat® neck pickup. It has Scruggs tuners on both E strings, and the Parsons/White B-Bender mechanism. The workmanship on this guitar is absolutely impeccable, the woods flawless with gorgeous graining. Its finish is two-color sunburst, and it comes with a vintage-style tweed case and a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Mike Eldred of the Fender Custom Shop.

This guitar is based on a 1960s Les Paul Standard Classic and features all the adornments which made that model highly sought after, including a carved maple top, green key and inlay vintage vibe, nickel hardware. Great looks aside, the 1995 Les Paul Classic features a true 60s slim tapered neck. This, combined with 496R/500T Ceramic Magnet humbucking pickups, and this is one scorching guitar.
